CHRIS GILBERT
Chris Gilbert is a professor at Venezuela’s Bolivarian University and a writer based in Caracas. Grounded in a Marxist perspective, his research includes communes, socialist strategy, social reproduction theory, and imperialism.
Gilbert is co-creator and co-host of the television program and podcast Escuela de Cuadros and is the author most recently of Commune or Nothing! Venezuela’s Communal Movement and Its Socialist Project (Monthly Review Press, October 2023).
Chris Gilbert es profesor de estudios políticos en la Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela, investigador y escritor.
Su investigación, arraigada en la tradición marxista, abarca temas como las comunas, la estrategia socialista, la teoría de la reproducción social y el imperialismo. Gilbert es co-fundador y co-host del programa de televisión y podcast Escuela de Cuadros. Su libro más reciente es Commune or Nothing! Venezuela’s Communal Movement and Its Socialist Project, publicado por Monthly Review Press en octubre de 2023.
